Before someone writes to you, they often look at your photograph. What do you want them to see? Your confidence, your openness, your way of working? I create personal branding photography around the person behind the work. A website portrait, a LinkedIn headshot, and a relaxed photograph for Instagram can each say something different and still feel unmistakably like you.
You might own a business, lead a team, coach, consult, teach, freelance, or make something no one else makes quite like you do. I work with founders, managers, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals at very different stages. Some are just beginning. Others have years of experience and suddenly realize their photographs belong to an earlier version of themselves. I want to meet the person you are now.
I’m Julia Yatel, a personal branding photographer based in Miami, Florida, USA. My European style of photography brings natural light, movement, and a fashion editorial eye to professional portraits. I like a clear visual idea, with enough freedom for a real expression to happen. I photograph projects in Miami and travel for shoots across the United States, with worldwide projects by arrangement.

Photographs That Introduce You Clearly
Think of the places people will meet you before meeting you in person: your website, a professional profile, an interview, a speaking announcement, or a presentation. I ask about those uses before the shoot. They help me decide when you need a close portrait, when the setting matters, and where to leave space for a headline or a few words.
If your work depends on trust, I’d like someone looking at your photograph to feel curious about the person in it. I pay attention to your expression, posture, clothes, and surroundings. You can look professional and still have warmth in your eyes. You don’t need to put on someone else’s idea of a successful person.

A Consistent Visual Style
I want the photographs to feel connected when you place them side by side. Before the session, I look at your brand colors, website, clothing, references, and the atmosphere you want to create. Those small decisions help the whole series feel like it belongs to you.
Imagine someone reading an interview with you and then opening your Instagram. A different photograph, a different moment, but the same person and feeling. A focused LinkedIn portrait can sit comfortably beside a more relaxed scene when the color, mood, and visual choices work together. You can see how I connect people and places in my portfolio.

Photographs for Your Current Chapter
A new role. Your own business. A move to another country. Sometimes life changes, and the portrait on your website stays exactly where it was. If your old photographs no longer feel like you, that’s a good place to begin. I ask what’s changed and what you want people to understand about you now. The new images should feel like they belong to this chapter of your life.

My Approach to Your Personal Brand
Look through my photographs and listen to your own reaction. Can you imagine yourself in that atmosphere? I look for expressions and gestures you can recognize as your own, with room to move, pause, and respond. The visual idea matters to me, but so does the person living inside it. Read more about my photography style and see whether that feels right for you.

A Story Across the Whole Series
A direct business portrait tells one part of your story. Your working space, the tools you use, the clothes you feel at home in, or a smile between two poses can tell another. Sometimes that small, unplanned expression says more about a person than the carefully prepared portrait. I look for both, choosing the details around your actual work so the series makes sense as a whole.

How I Prepare Your Branding Session
You don’t have to figure out every visual detail on your own. I guide the preparation and discuss what your particular session needs:
- I discuss your goals, audience, professional role, and plans for the photographs with you
- I develop a moodboard and visual direction around your personality and work
- I suggest locations and timing around natural light, from an outdoor setting to a stylish interior
- I can assemble a team in the United States for your project, with a stylist, makeup and hair specialist, or assistant when needed. On a small session, I may do makeup and hair myself by agreement
- I plan the session and guide you through movement, posture, and expression on the day
- I select and edit the photographs as a connected series, with the final files agreed for the ways you’ll use them
The process matters to me as much as the final photographs. I want you to feel heard in the first conversation, prepared for the shoot, and free to be yourself in front of the camera. I explain that side of my work in Photoshoot as a Holistic Experience.
Before you book, I discuss the concept, team, location, travel, and finished photographs with you, so you know what the session includes. Makeup and hair are optional. A 30% retainer payment confirms the booking, and I deliver the finished photos in 1-2 weeks, depending on my workload at the time.

A New Chapter in Your Work or Life
Perhaps you’re reading this because you’re:
- Starting a new role or professional direction
- Launching a business, a project, or a new offer
- Relocating and introducing yourself to a new audience
- Changing the way you want to present yourself and your work
Tell me what this chapter means to you. You don’t need a finished visual concept before getting in touch. A few references, a description of your work, or even “I don’t feel like the person in those old photos anymore” can be enough to start a conversation. I’ll help you find the photographic idea from there.

Professional Portraits That Still Feel Human
Being photographed for work doesn’t mean holding one serious expression for an entire session. I can combine business portraits and professional headshots with more relaxed lifestyle photographs when that suits your idea. I’ll suggest small adjustments and movement, and give you time to settle into the shoot. If you don’t know what to do with your hands, that’s perfectly fine. It’s my job to guide you.

Different Sides of Your Professional Life
You have more than one expression and more than one side to your work. I can plan a focused portrait, a working moment, a walk, a change of clothes, or a quieter scene in an interior. Each should tell something true about you. I agree on the looks and settings within the time and scope of your session, with enough room to enjoy making the photographs.

Plan Your Personal Branding Photo Shoot
Tell me about your work and the photographs you wish you had. I can plan your personal branding photo shoot in Miami or travel for a project elsewhere in Florida or across the United States, with worldwide work by arrangement. My answers to common questions cover preparation, locations, booking, and delivery.
If you’re thinking more about your personal style than your professional identity, have a look at my private photo shoots. If it’s a product collection you’re introducing, my brand photo shoots may be a better starting point. You can contact me even if you’re still working out which direction feels like yours.
