I’m Julia Yatel, a commercial fashion photographer based in Miami, Florida, USA. I love working with clothing, swimwear, lingerie, shoes, bags, jewelry, accessories, and beauty brands. I want to see what gives your collection its character: the way a fabric moves, a shape, a little detail someone has thought about for months. My European style of fashion photography gives those details a place in images that feel alive.
When you hire a photographer, you’re choosing a person who needs to understand you. Someone who listens, supports you, and takes care of the little things. From the first conversation to your finished photographs, I put a lot of myself into that support. I call it 100%, although sometimes it feels more like 150%! I want you to enjoy creating fashion your customers will love, with a clear understanding of how I’ll photograph it.
I work with new labels and established brands on artistic campaigns, collection stories, and creative lookbooks. And I especially love small capsule collections of about 5-7 items. A few pieces can give a beautiful idea plenty of room to grow. Larger collections are very welcome too; I shape the concept and schedule around the scale of the project.

My background in fashion, makeup, and marketing helps me connect those answers with the photographs. I began my photography project in Portugal in 2019 and now continue it from Miami. Fashion Campaigns and Capsule Collection Shoots
A larger collection and a small capsule give me different things to get excited about. One might need a story across many pieces and settings. The other might begin with just a few garments and one very clear feeling. In both cases, I want the photographs to belong to the collection, with a plan that gives each piece the attention it needs.
Fashion Campaign Photography
For a seasonal launch, a collection of about 10 or more items, or a new direction for your label, I develop an idea that can hold the whole series together. I love giving a collection its own world through light, movement, the person wearing it, and the place around them. I plan the framing and selection for the uses you need, whether that’s your website, advertising, social media, print, or a creative lookbook.
Capsule Collection Photography for 3-7 Items
I really love these mini-projects. A capsule collection of about 3-7 items can have so much character. There is time to notice how one piece moves, to find an unexpected combination, or to let a simple idea unfold through several photographs. I give a small collection the same care as a larger campaign and shape the production around what it actually needs.
Before the shoot, I agree with you on the number of items, outfit combinations, locations, team, and finished photographs. A small capsule can stay intimate; a larger campaign may need more people and preparation. I want the production to serve your collection, with a clear plan for the idea and budget.
Why Plan Your Brand Photo Shoot in Miami?
Miami gives me plenty to be curious about: coastal light, bold architecture, greenery, and interiors with their own character. But I always begin with your collection. A setting should feel as though the clothes belong there. From my base in Miami, I can explore which location and time of day will give the story the atmosphere it needs.

Typical Project Stages
Good preparation gives me more freedom to be creative on the day. Here’s how I take a brand photo shoot from the first conversation to your finished images:
- First conversation: I get to know your brand, collection, audience, references, ideas, and plans for the photographs. I often send a short introductory brief individually so I can understand the project before preparing a proposal
- Proposal: once I understand the scope and the work involved, I send an individual offer with the planned tasks, my role, and the project costs
- Creative preparation: I develop the moodboard and plan the location, team, styling, schedule, permissions, and practical arrangements
- Shoot day: I guide the photography, movement, and visual direction, with the agreed team and plan in place
- Selection and editing: I pay close attention to the collection’s colors, textures, and overall mood. I can select the photographs for final processing myself, or you can make the initial selection, as agreed for your project
- Delivery: I send the finished photos in 1-2 weeks, depending on my workload at the time, using the file formats agreed for the project
You don’t need to arrive with every answer. Bring a detailed concept, a collection you’re proud of, or the beginning of an idea, and I’ll help you find its photographic direction. As the project develops, I’ll explain the important decisions and let you know what I need from you. I want you to feel involved and looked after.
Pricing and Booking
I prepare an individual quote for each brand photo shoot. A capsule collection and a larger campaign ask for different amounts of preparation, people, and time. I discuss the collection size, concept, locations, setups, team, travel, and editing with you directly, and send any preparation questions individually.
A 30% retainer payment confirms your booking. The proposal explains the agreed scope and costs, so you know what you’re choosing.
I recommend allowing about 1-2 months to prepare a project and booking within that window where possible. If you have a particular launch date or a different schedule, tell me at the beginning. I can then discuss what’s possible for your project and its deadlines.
Creative Direction and Project Support
I can help take a collection from the first visual idea to the finished photographs. You may want that whole process in my hands, or you may already have a team and need me to focus on photography. I discuss the support that fits your project, whether it’s a small capsule shoot in Miami or a larger campaign elsewhere in the United States.
Depending on the agreed scope, I can help with:
- Understanding the collection’s story, audience, and photographic goals in line with your brand’s strategy and positioning
- Developing the moodboard, references, and visual concept
- Finding models, a stylist, makeup and hair specialists, and assistants for the project
- Researching locations and planning permissions, access, and rentals
