Two main types of brand shoot
As professional fashion photographers, we specialize in two main types of photoshoots for brands: standard shooting for online stores and creative shooting for campaigns, ads, and social media. Each type of shoot has its specific features and requirements.
Type 1. Products shooting for online store. Images may be used for the brand’s own website, e-commerce platforms, and online marketplaces.
- Objective: to capture high-quality product images that accurately represent the items being sold. The product is the focus of the shoot, so images should be clean and simple
- Location and background: plain or neutral background, studio or outdoors
- Focus: show the details and features of the product in a clear and concise manner
- Angles: images are often shot from different angles to give customers a comprehensive view of the product
- Lighting: bright and even, to ensure accurate representation of colors and textures
- Post-production editing is usually done to ensure color accuracy and consistency, and to remove any distracting elements from the background

Type 2. Creative shooting for advertising and social media. There may be a specific concept or theme that needs to be conveyed through the images, such as a new product/collection launch or a seasonal campaign. Photos can be used for social media, lookbooks, billboards, print ads, and any other marketing materials.
- Objective: to create visually striking images that grab attention, create an emotional connection with the audience, and the desire to purchase the product
- One idea: the images are often part of a larger marketing campaign, so they need to be consistent with the overall messaging and branding
- Aesthetics: the lighting, background, and props are carefully chosen to create a specific aesthetic and convey a particular idea, message, or feeling
- Models: the images may feature models or influencers
- Location: images may be shot in a variety of locations (outdoor or indoor) to create a sense of context and lifestyle
- Planning: this type of photoshoot requires more planning and preparation, as the focus is on creating a specific campaign storyboard that matches the brand’s idea
- Involvement: a creative team is often involved in the planning process, including stylists, hair and makeup artists, and art directors
Each type of photoshoot requires a different approach and skill set, a high level of attention to detail, and expertise in lighting, composition, and post-production editing. We are well-equipped and experienced to handle any task and ensure that the final images meet the client’s needs and expectations.

Why should you have a brand photo shoot in Portugal?
Having lived and worked in Portugal for many years, I would like to highlight the benefits of choosing this country as the location for your next photoshoot.
Stunning landscapes: Portugal has a diverse range of landscapes, from absolutely fantastic rugged coastlines to rolling hills and picturesque towns. These stunning backdrops can add depth and interest to your photos and provide a unique visual difference. In Portugal we work in many beautiful towns and regions: Lisbon, Porto, Algarve (Faro, Albufeira, Lagos, Sagres) and many others.
Great weather: with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year and a warm climate, Portugal offers consistently good weather for photoshoots throughout the year. This means you can plan outdoor shoots with greater confidence, avoid weather-related problems and shoot your collections when the weather in most countries is cold, rainy, snowy, gray, or overcast.
Cost-effective: Portugal offers a lower cost of shooting and accommodation than many other European or American countries, which can result in lower production costs for your shoot.
Professional talent: Portugal has a thriving fashion industry with a wealth of talented models, stylists, and other creative professionals. I have worked with many of these people, know the market, and can help you put together the best team for your project.
Diversity: Portugal is a great mix of cultures, life stories, skin colors, and influences. Whether you’re looking for traditional Portuguese elements, a relaxed ocean beach, or a modern and cosmopolitan vibe, Portugal can deliver any diversity.
Convenient location: Portugal is easily accessible from many major cities in Europe and around the world. This makes it a great location for international brands and means you can save time and money on travel and logistics.
Overall, Portugal offers a unique and diverse range of advantages for shoots. It’s an ideal location for brands looking to create high-quality and unique fashion materials.

Typical project stages
Here are the typical stages of a fashion photoshoot project for a client:
- Introduction: the first stage of the project involves meeting with the client to discuss their needs and objectives for the photoshoot. This includes discussing the concept or theme, the products to be featured, the target audience, the desired style and aesthetic, and any other valuable details
- Planning and pre-production: discussing moodboards, organising the logistics of the shoot, such as finding a location, hiring models and crew (stylists, assistants, etc.), preparing any necessary props and equipment, coordinating with hair and makeup artists and stylists, etc. We may also work with the client on creative direction and concept development
- Day of shoot: The crew arrives on location to begin shooting. we, as photographers, work with the models and the creative team to ensure that the shots are executed according to the plan
- Post-production: stage of editing and retouching the materials to ensure they meet the client’s requirements. This may include color correction, removing any distracting elements, and adding any necessary text or graphics
- Delivery: we deliver images in a variety of formats, such as high-resolution files for print or web-optimised files for online use
Throughout the project, we communicate regularly with the client to ensure that the shoot is meeting their needs and expectations.
Prices
As professional fashion photographers, we strive to offer transparent and competitive pricing to all our clients. All prices are estimates and are unique, based on the specific scope of each client’s project. The pricing structure for a brand shoot will depend on a number of factors, such as the type of shoot, models, location, crew required, timing, number of resulting images, props, etc. However, we will always provide a detailed quote and discuss any additional fees or expenses upfront so there are no surprises or hidden costs.
‘Turnkey’ projects
As professional fashion photographers, we are able to offer our clients a ‘turnkey’ project service, covering all aspects of the shooting process.
Here is what we can do to create a turnkey project for our clients:
- Consultation: prior to the shoot, we work closely with the client to understand their needs and objectives, products, and target audiences
- Planning: we create a detailed plan for the shoot, including a shot list, schedule, list of equipment and personnel required, and of course a budget
- Coordination: we work closely with the client and any additional crew members to ensure everyone is on the same page and the project runs smoothly
- Location scouting: we find and rent the perfect location
- Prop sourcing: we source and purchase specific props and accessories
- Equipment rental: we rent the necessary photo/video equipment
- Crew hiring: we find and hire staff such as models, stylists, make-up artists, hairstylists, assistants, etc.
- Shooting: we capture high-quality images and videos that meet the client’s needs, both with our own resources and with the help of partners
- Editing and retouching: we carefully edit and retouch the material to ensure it meets the client’s standards
- Delivery: we deliver the final result to the client in a timely and organized manner
Our aim is to create a seamless and stress-free experience for you, so you can focus on what matters most – designing and creating amazing fashion products that your customers will love. Thank you for considering us as your partners in capturing your brand and products!
