I’m Julia Yatel, a fashion photographer based in Miami, Florida. For video projects, I work with my husband Anton, a videographer. I help develop the visual idea and styling, and Anton takes care of the video work. Whether it’s a brand campaign or a personal fashion story, I want it to feel close to the person or collection in front of the camera.
I’m available for projects in Miami and across the United States, with worldwide travel by arrangement.
Before filming, I want to understand what you want to say and who you want to reach. The way a dress moves, the mood of a scene, a close-up of a piece of jewelry: those choices should belong to your idea. My European style favors natural expression and movement that feels believable. I work with natural light wherever it suits the story, outdoors, in a beautiful interior, or in a suitable studio. I also think about where the video will be seen, whether that’s a campaign, social media, or your website.
I love that moment when a look comes alive in motion. The fabric moves, an expression changes, and suddenly there’s the feeling I was looking for. This is why I enjoy being part of video projects. 💛
When you come to me with an idea, I want to understand you before I start suggesting things. What do you love about your collection? How would you like to see yourself on screen? I listen, ask questions, and help shape the concept, references, styling, and location. I discuss the filming details with you and Anton beforehand, so you know what the plan involves and can enjoy seeing it take shape.
