Beautiful skin, a movement of hair, the clothes, the light, the expression. I notice all of it. Today, that beauty experience is part of how I see and work as a photographer. My first professional makeup courses were a real gift. I learned from artists whose work included fashion shoots, glossy magazines, and well-known performers. That was when fashion began to feel like my world. Those early lessons also taught me to look closely at the person in front of me: their features, their character, and the way a look feels on them. A formula can only take you so far. I still study beauty trends, techniques, and textures, and fashion magazines remain a constant source of ideas. A new shade, an unexpected formula, a soft transition of color. These things can make me very happy. And yes, I still love buying cosmetics. It’s a kind of beautiful fanaticism. After all these years, I haven’t lost that curiosity, and it comes with me into every photo shoot. I’m originally from Ukraine and now based in Miami, Florida, USA. Photography is my main work. I travel for photo projects across the United States and can arrange sessions worldwide, planning the people and preparation around each idea. My love of makeup and hair comes with me as part of that photographic work. After moving to Portugal in 2018, I began taking photographs of the looks I was creating on fashion shoots. I wanted to capture the styling and expression just as I imagined them. I started my photography project in 2019, and that work grew into private photo stories, brand campaigns, and magazine covers. I enjoy following a look all the way through to the final image. If you’d like me to combine those roles, I discuss it with you during preparation and check that it suits the schedule. Another project may need a separate makeup artist, hairstylist, or both. I can arrange that team for the shoot.
